Abstract: |
The archaeological impact of the proposed housing and open space scheme was thought to be minimal, with the archaeological potential of earlier phases of the site being reduced due to hard landscaping. However, the historical, cultural and visual impacts of the proposal carried more weight as the site was used as a fairground for 105 years. Development of the site may have altered the historical and cultural character of Redruth. [Au(abr)] |
