Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in response to a planning condition prior to residential development. Five trenches were excavated, of which three contained archaeology. Trench 1 contained a posthole, stake holes, pits and a ditch of 12th-13th century date. Trench 2 contained the remains of a building represented by walls/foundations and probable floor surfaces. This building was dated to the 12th-13th century. Within trench 3 was a stack tile hearth, stakeholes and possible floor surface. [Au(adp)] |
