Abstract: |
The trench locations were restricted by a number of outbuildings, with associated underlying cables, in addition to a number of trees and an overhead cable. An undated linear feature was located to the north of Trench 2, apparently on a north-east/ south-west alignment and corresponding to a shallow linear depression apparent on the ground surface. A number of sherds of 13th century pottery were recovered from the interface between the topsoil and the natural boulder clay within Trench 2, but no archaeological deposits were located with which to associate them.
