Abstract: |
A watching brief was held over development works at the Nationwide Building Society, High Street, Dorking. A basement wall was removed to reveal a discontinuous layer of soil containing brick, tile and charcoal. The brick, dated to the 17th or 18th century provided a date for the sealing of the layer.
