Abstract: |
The watching brief identified the eastern corner of an enclosure, which measured 32 metres north-east south-west by 48 metres north-west south-east. It was defined by two relatively deep, boundary ditches, the south-eastern one of which had been recut following the backfilling of its predecessor. The enclosure appeared to have been settled during the mid Iron Age, from approximately 350-200 BC; occupation was also recorded from the later Iron Age, up to approximately AD25. [Au] |
