Abstract: |
Three main phases were identified during the watching brief, the first being the garden subsoil and drainage features. The soils contained medieval and post medieval materials. The second phase was the construction and occupation of the cutlery works. The final phase relates to the demolition of the building. Structural remains include three barrel-vaulted cellars, and two significant dumps of raw and waste material from manufacturing processes at the site. [Au(abr)] |
