Abstract: |
The project of archaeological works dealing with 52-78 Grey Street involved inspection and photography of the present buildings on the site, survey of documentary material relating to the buildings, inspection of test-pits excavated for the site engineers, and the archaeological excavation and recording of other test-pits. The area was recognised as being of considerable importance, one building incorporating medieval material in its structure. Several recommendations were made for future work before development could begin. [AIP] |
