Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during work to extend a sand and gravel quarry. Work was undertaken from December 2003 to August 2004 and this report provided an overview of all of the results. Work was undertaken in areas to the south, south-west, north and north-west of a Neolithic causewayed enclosure (SAM 30089) which occupied part of the area and was excluded from gravel extraction. Archaeological features were very dispersed with few concentrations of activity or even dateable deposits. Features included a post-medieval field boundary and undated pits and post holes.
