Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed mineral extraction site. No sites of archaeological interest had been recorded in the vicinity. The evaluation trenches revealed several modern features, comprising ploughmarks, a post-hole and a pit, as well as three small, irregular features interpreted as having been formed during clearance of the common in the mid-19th century. The only artefact of any antiquity to be noted was a flint waste flake. [AIP] |
