Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was carried out in response to a proposed sewage treatment works in the area. 28 sites were identified, including four that were thought to be of national importance, three of regional importance and 23 of local importance. Numerous boundaries and buildings and features relating to mining activity were the most prominent. Where the remains could not be preserved in situ, a detailed mitigation scheme was recommended.
