Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed the remains of a building with painted wall-plaster decoration, stone roof tiles, a cement floor, fragments of Samian and Romano-British wares, which was situated on high quality land. All the attributes suggested a building of superior quality situated in its own extensive farm estate. It was thought to be unlikely as a temple or bath-house, but by all criteria qualified as a Roman Villa.[Au] |
