Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed three storey building and associated works. Several deposits related to the post-medieval and modern periods were uncovered, the majority in the form of intercutting rubbish pits dated from the 15th to 17th centuries. It was likely that the rubbish pits were at the rear of a housing plot fronting onto Brick Kiln Street, which supported the theory that the street was a late medieval or early post-medieval insertion into the Evesham town plan.
