Abstract: |
Four archaeological trenches were excavated on the north side of Savile Road, Castleford, West Yorkshire in November - December 2005, to evaluate the area in advance of a proposed residential development. Natural sands and sites were located, above which dumping layers dating to the 20th century were recorded. Context 2002 contained a group of 20th century white earthenware waster sherds. [Au(abr)] |
