Abstract: |
An excavation of two adjoining areas within a moat platform, undertaken before construction of a housing development, identified three sides of the moat's surrounding ditch, although no evidence for a fourth side to the south was revealed. The moat buildings were suggested to have been constructed within a period from the thirteenth to fourteenth centuries, with more or less continuous occupation to the present day. [Au(adp)] |
