Abstract: |
The archaeological investigation comprised the monitoring of ten trial pits on the above site. Each trench revealed 20th century make up resulting from several activities on the site. A series of dredging of the Manchester Ship Canal has brought in a great deal of sand and silt. Dumping of industrial materials such as metal, wood and building debris was identified in numerous trenches. [Au(abr] |
