Abstract: |
The archaeological impact of the work was minimal. The first two holes excavated disturbed 20th century deposits which had been laid down when the site was opened to the public. The third hole disturbed an archaeological deposit, however, this was a rubble deposit of rubble from collapsed walls and no in situ structural remains were disturbed. The final two holes excavated were reused from the previous panels and therefore little new disturbance took place. [Au(adp)] |
