Abstract: |
The watching brief recorded a single Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age ditch, a continuation of a ditch found on adjacent watching briefs. A further ditch, known from earlier work to cross the northern part of the site, was not revealed as ground level reduction in this area was of insufficient depth. A few scattered post holes may represent the remains of fairground structures though the could have been associated with the recently demolished buildings on the site. Various brick walls, soakaways and other features belonging to these buildings were noted. [Au(abr)] |
