Abstract: |
The archaeological investigation centred upon the Carmelite Friary which was a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Other activity was noted on the site including walls and post holes which pre-dated the site and ndustrial residues which suggest that iron working was occuring in the vicinity of the site.
