Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological recording together with a watching brief was undertaken within the grounds of a Churchyard. A wall was recorded that had a modern upper build, but the lower third, with in situ mortar, was of an undated earlier build. During the demolition of the initial 5m stretch of churchyard wall, it was found to be in a very poor state of repair. As a consequence more wall fabric was demolished for safety reasons, this additional wall area was also recorded. Unfortunately no other dating material was found. Removal of tree stumps did not disturb the cemetery. [Au(adp)] |
