The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 The evaluation revealed a stratified sequence of archaeological deposits and features, the earliest of which pre-dated the 12th century. Two main phases of activity were noted across the site: Phase 1 (medieval) and Phase 2 (post-medieval to modern). Within this broad framework, a number of distinct sub-phases of activity were identified in each trench. The finds assemblage recovered during the evaluation included medieval, post-medieval and modern pottery that ranged in date from 12th to 19th century. Trench 1 identified a series of medieval dump deposits, pits, linear features and probable structural features of pre-12th to 14th century date. The medieval features were truncated by several post-medieval gullies and the remains of an 18th century brick-floored cellar. Trench 2 also contained medieval evidence as did trench 3. [Au(abr)]
