Abstract: |
The objective of the watching brief programme was to recover artefacts and record all archaeological features and deposits exposed during preliminary groundwork for the construction a new Lidl store. The site work comprised limited ground level reduction over an area of approximately 1325 square metres as well as the excavation of standard strip foundations and an attenuation pond (an underground excess surface water storage tank).
