Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken during a programme of works by Chichester Harbour Conservancy designed to return a partially reclaimed area of land to salt marsh. The archaeological work was commissioned because of the proximity of a series of previously excavated archaeological sites. Four archaeological features were noted, two probably being the same fairly recent trackway. The other two were probably prehistoric flint working areas which bore several similarities to sites excavated nearby in the 1980s. [AIP] |
