Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment of the Southgate Bus Depot showed that it lay within the historic town of Leicester, almost adjacent to the Roman and medieval town defences, and on Leicesters main historic thoroughfare. Significant Roman and early medieval remains had been excavated in the immediate vicinity, and a tessellated pavement may have been found on site earlier this century. [Au] |
