Abstract: |
<summary>At St Andrew's Church (Scheduled Ancient Monument: NN194), the archaeological investigation of a single trench around the south-east corner of the church uncovered the original foundations of the buttress below the level of the 19th century repairs. By demonstrating its sound construction, the buttress was shown to be a suitable base for rebuilding without the previously anticipated need to introduce piles. A complete record of the 56 memorials in the churchyard was also compiled. {italon}Sec(adp)(10c){italoff}{spacea} |
