Abstract: |
The project was designed to record all known Palaeolithic finds and sites south of the rivers Severn and Thames. The Programme aimed to relate the finds to their geological contexts and supply information to be used to manage the resource, as mineral extraction directly threatened the geology on which such sites were formed. It was also planned to make the information available for academic research. [Au(adp)] |
