Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was undertaken following an extension to the study area for alterations to the proposed route of the A391. Seventeen sites were identified in the additonal areas and included a possible Bronze Age barrow site, a possible Iron Age/Romano-British round, medieval farmstead settlements, medieval field systems, a mineral railway, and a post-medieval engine house.
