Abstract: |
A desk-based study supplemented by a walkover survey to assess the potential archaeological constraints for the proposed laying of a pipeline between Netherwylde Pumping Station and Medburn Bridge, identified some evidence for possible Romano-British building material on the ground in set-aside land along the pipeline route. The pipeline route was also identified as passing close to the remnant of the moat near Battlers Green Farm, and approached the Roman Road, Watling Street, at its southern end. [AIP] |
