Abstract: |
The study area is situated near the remains of a Roman villa. However, the evaluation established that the eastern third of the site had totally been disturbed by modern developments. In the remainder of the development area, a post-medieval ground surface and its associated levels survived. However, there was no evidenece for any activity pre-dating the 16th century. Two vaulted brick cellars, and other remnants of a former barracks were also recorded.[Au(abr)] |
