Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment of a site on the Isle of Dogs, identified that part of the area had on stratigraphic grounds a good potential for palaeo-land surfaces. The site had a moderate to good potential for in situ archaeological remains of the early prehistoric periods. The site was developed from the 18th century onwards when a natural breach in the river bank was utilised as a mast yard and a mast house was built. [Au(adp)] |
