Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out in advance of road realignment and replacement of the canal bridge with a culvert. The watching brief specifically set out to determine whether pottery scatters identified in previous evaluations extended into the area of the road works. The project provided valuable information regarding the construction of small stone bridges in the post medieval period. [Au(adp)]
