Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of six geo-technical test pits prior to the proposed redevelopment of the buildings' basements. One of the test pits produced an assemblage of pottery dating to the late 17th-early 18th century together with clay pipe pieces of contemporary date. The remainder of the test pits produced construction evidence for the basements that were dated to the end of the 19th century. [Au(adp)]
