Abstract: |
An investigation into the site history at Bath Lane, the area formerly known as The King's Dykes, was undertaken. Documentary sources were studied to create histories for the three subdivisions within the site. Virtually all activity occurred in the post-medieval period, after the infilling or silting up of the town ditch. The names and lifespans of the various shops and businesses on the land were diligently recorded and the sources studied listed. [AIP] |
