Abstract: |
Three test-pits were excavated and the excavation of pier support posts was observed at sites where the Iver to Arkley water pipeline crossed the River Colne, Fray's River and the Grand Union Canal. Previous excavation 1km downstream from the Fray's River crossing had produced Mesolithic flints and animal remains. However, no archaeological material or features were observed at any of the locations, and it was concluded that no significant deposits had been affected by the work. [Au(adp)] |
