Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of an office development, where a desk top assessment had identified a potential for prehistoric remains. Three of the four evaluation trenches were found to have been contaminated with asbestos. Brick wall foundations, probably dating from the 19th century, were recorded. These were likely to represent the remains of a public house and a row of cottages which had formerly occupied the site. [AIP] |
