Abstract: |
The evaluation involved the cutting of sixty-eight trenches. The trenches revealed a sparse scatter of Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age features across much of the site. These features included a small number of pits, a few gullies and some shallow linear features of uncertain interpretation. These features were found to contain a number of struck flints, a very small amount of coarse-tempered pottery and a quantity of marine shell. Though a clear pattern of settlement was not established, the features observed were sufficient to indicate the likelihood of such settlement in the vicinity. [Au(abr)] |
