Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out over two days during machine clearing of the site and the excavation of foundation and service trenches in advance of a proposed extension. Although the site was thought to have archaeological potential no archaeological remains were observed. From the limited area exposed, it appears that the Anglo-Saxon cemetery does not quite extend into the development area. Any further development in the general area should have nonetheless been subjected to archaeological coverage as clearly there was significant archaeology in the close vicinity. [Au(adp)] |
