Abstract: |
Four archaeological evaluation trenches were followed up by an open area strip, in advance of the demolition of farm related buildings and their subsequent replacement residential buildings. A single pit of unknown date, possibly representing a post hole, was recorded during the evaluation. No significant archaeological features were revealed within the open area strip. No evidence was found for the known Roman cemetery situated just north of the investigation site suggesting the southern boundary of these cemetery lay to the north. [Au(adp)] |
