Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during topsoil stripping for soil storage. The topsoil strip was centred on two areas south of the village of Smisby. Area 1 contained a series of modern land drains and a possible drainage ditch or hedge boundary. Both areas 1 and 2 produced flint pieces and Roman, medieval and modern pottery probably indicative of manure spreading. [Au(abr)] |
