The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Remains dating to the Roman and post-medieval periods were revealed during an earlier evaluation. A watching brief recorded pits similar to those also recorded during the evaluation. These were undated and may have related to the construction or repair of the Roman Watling Street. Medieval deposits were not present on the site. In the absence of truncation it was assumed that the site was an open area until the construction of the Cockneys, a public house. [Au(adp)]
