Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a pipe trench. The route of the pipeline had been altered in order to avoid a moated site which was a SAM, and other sites of medieval activity recorded on the SMR. Other remains recorded in the area included evidence of Neolithic flint working, and findspots of Romano-British pottery and a coin. During the watching brief, no significant archaeological features were observed. Artefact collection along the route resulted in the finding of a small number of flint flakes and a flint core. No ceramic evidence was observed. [AIP] |
