Abstract:
A level IV (RCHME) architectural survey and documentary research were undertaken of the mill, prior to proposed conversion of the building to housing. Wellington mill is one of the finest examples of early industrial 'fireproof' construction within Greater Manchester. The intact preservation of the cast iron framework and other features combine to give the building high historical and architectural value.[Au(abr)]
