Abstract: |
The monument was surveyed as part of a scheme of works of conservation and consolidation. A stone by stone record at a scale of 1:200 was prepared. A total of five soil samples were taken to assess the archaeological potential of soils below the cairn. Analysis of the sample suggested the site had little potential for more detailed research into palaeoenvironment or economy, due to the high soil acidity. [Au(abr)] |
