Abstract: |
An archaeological desktop study of the area of Bathampton Down occupied by Bath Golf Club demonstrated the existence of a highly sensitive, coherant and well-preserved archaeological landscape. The Golf Course properly emerges as a rare example of a high degree of integration between the various component elements, representing an extremely significant survival of its type which is regarded by some authorities as of national importance.
