Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during groundworks connected with the installation of electrical cables in the nave of Lincoln Cathedral. Although the site is of known important archaeological and historical interest, the brief produced little information. The tops of several features were uncovered and these included part of an earlier floor slab or grave slab on the northern side of the nave, an earlier stone feature at the steps at the west front, and three brick structures probably representing brick lined graves or an earlier structure or ducting system below the floor.
