Abstract: |
Two pits were excavated and examined ahead of construction of an agricultural building. One revealed a foundation wall of the medieval abbey. This was to be preserved beneath the concrete setting of the stanchion. It was suggested that a more accurate plan and a fuller understanding of the layout of the abbey and its associated buildings could be achieved by geophysical survey. [AIP] |
