Abstract: |
The watching brief was imposed because the site lay close to the medieval core of the village, which was represented by St. Mary's church and the Market Cross. Additionally, Saxon remains were known from the vicinity. The investigation identified the foundations of a recently demolished cottage and two associated cess pits. Medieval and post-medieval pottery was also retrieved. [Au(abr)] |
