Abstract: |
<summary>Archaeological recording of parts of the keep and driveway retaining wall at Clitheroe Castle involved plan and elevation drawings (keep only), photographs prior to and after repairs, and monitoring of repair works. In the event of further repair work to the keep, the Unit recommended that more detailed study of documentary sources be undertaken, combined with further fabric survey. This will allow a much clearer picture of the architectural development of the building to be formed, which is crucial to the castle's future management. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}{italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} 110 |
