Abstract: |
The evaluation was carried out at the Holywell Mead Swimming Pool Complex on behalf of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust. The pool complex lay on the site of the Rye Roman villa, which had been excavated on several previous occasions. The evaluation showed that Roman walls and other deposits still survived, at least in places, at a depth of 0.9m beneath recent made ground. [Au(abr)] |
