Abstract: |
A study of potential links between limestone cavities within a site proposed for a quarry extension and the nearby caves at Creswell Crags, a Palaeolithic site, was undertaken. It was concluded that physical underground links could be assumed to exist between the site and the Crags, but that there was no significant probability that a link existed such that elements from the two areas might be considered to be integral parts of the same phenomenon in an archaeologically meaningful way.
