Abstract: |
There was no evidence for any ancient activity on the site. Deposits almost certainly no earlier than the 19th century overlaid the natural subsoil everywhere, which was also considerably pierced by modern intrusions. The only feature of any antiquity could not be dated but the nature of the linear features fill and the few recovered artefacts suggested that it was prehistoric.[Au(abr)] |
